Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. There are three major types of diabetes: Type 1 diabetes - Results from the failure for body to produce insulin, the hormone that "unlocks" the cells of the body, allowing glucose to enter and fuel them. It is estimated that 5-10% of Americans who are diagnosed with diabetes have type 1 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes - Results from insulin resistance (a condition in which the body fails to properly use insulin), combined with relative insulin deficiency. Approximately 90-95% patients who are diagnosed with diabetes have type 2 diabetes. Pre-diabetes - Pre-diabetes is a condition that occurs when blood glucose levels of a person are higher than normal but not high enough for a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Gestational diabetes - Gestational diabetes affects about 4% of all pregnant women Additional information SymptomsOften diabetes goes undiagnosed because many of its symptoms seem so harmless. Early detection and treatment can decrease the chance of developing the complications of diabetes. Did you know that 2 out of 3 people with diabetes die from heart disease and stroke? Hemochromatosis This surprisingly common genetic disease that can cause serious and even fatal complications, and can cause a type of diabetes known as "bronze diabetes." Complications Diabetes can affect many parts of your body, including your heart, eyes, feet, and kidneys.

Why so many pyramids
written by Kumar , December 26, 2007

U used 10,000 pyramids in your place. It costs a lot to have so many. Even Rs. 15 per would mean Rs. 15,00,000.

How expensive is it for a flat of 2,000 sq.ft

Response from Premal Betai: You may require to contribute anywhere between Rs.2000 to Rs.5000 for a flat of 2000 square feet.
